The Quinjets
are the Avengers' primary means of long-range transportation.
The Avengers possess four Quinjets for their exclusive use.
Two of these rest in the hangar by and remain flight ready at
any time. The remaining two Quinjets are stored in the maintenance
bay on stand-by.
A required part of Avengers training for every member involves
learning to pilot a Quinjet.
The Quinjets have the following specifications:
- 2 x 2
symmetrically mounted modified Stark-Fujikawa J57 Turbojet
engines, one modifed Stark TF45 Turbofan engine, and Vertical
Take Off and Landing(VTOL) capabilities by routing the exhaust
of four small engines through vertical thrust deflectors.
